Prof. Haiyan Gao has been on the APS council as a General Councilor since 2011. She was elected recently to serve on the APS Executive Board. As a member on the Executive Board, she will be much more involved in the business of the Society. Prof. Gao's term begins on January 1, 2013 and ends on December 31, 2014.
