The American Physical Society held their April 2011 meeting in Anaheim, California. Several members of Duke Physics were in attendance:

  • Undergraduate student Ashley Jones: N-16 Capture to Differentiate Between Neutrinos and Antineutrinos in Super-Kamiokande, also received a certificate for notable accomplishments and presentation of research

  • Prof. Kate Scholberg: SNOwGLoBES: SuperNova Observatories with GLoBES
  • Richard Longland, Christian Iliadis, Rajarshi Raut, Gencho Rusev and Prof. Anton Tonchev: Threshold Photoneutron Cross Sections for 26Mg
  • Prof. Mohammad Ahmed, Jonathan Mueller, L. Myers, Sean Stave and Prof. Henry Weller: Neutron Photoproduction from $^{181}$Ta with Linearly Polarized $\gamma$-rays between 11 and 15.5 MeV
  • Prof. Mohammad Ahmed, Jonathan Mueller, L. Myers, Sean Stave and Prof. Henry Weller: Neutron Photoproduction from Sn with Linearly Polarized $\gamma$-rays between 13 and 15 MeV
  • Prof. Alfred Goshaw: Measurement of $W\gamma$ and $Z\gamma$ production at the LHC
